As I write this, please know my goal is only to inspire. Although I've been hunting my whole life, I feel a tinge of sadness whenever I shoot a deer. My family and I only eat venison and wild pig for red meat, so I try and tag out my six deer each season to ensure we have enough meat for the whole year. I have discovered that by using absolutely as much of the deer as possible, I feel like I am honoring the life I have taken. One skill I have mastered is oak tanning each hide and then using that leather to make various items for hunting. Below is a pic of a stalking quiver I recently finished from a buck I took last season. My next project will be a carrying case for one of my take down bows. If anyone ever wants to trade ideas, I'm always open to suggestions.
