First turkey sit of the season 🦃

No turkeys were harmed and no dads fell asleep and needed a stick poke to wake them.. 😴

We will be back! Once we locate where the heck the birds have gone?!! Turkeys will relocate to areas where they aren’t pressured by predators- our go to spot has again become a transient spot- back at locating the birds again!

A lot of folks tend to hunt fields since that’s where they see the birds commonly.

I’ve personally taken 80 % of my birds in the last 30 years inside the bush lots themselves not fields.

I’m a big fan of hunting inside the bush edge itself or what I call handrails which are points of cover like an old broken fence line or trail road I don’t mind the edge of field sits as well, but they can also kind of pin you down.

Our best spot is become a transition zone once again, so we’re off to find where the birds are at later this week. We had one Jake respond to us but very, very far away no Tom’s.
