Here's my updated 150 word elevator speech - input and opinions requested and welcome.
"I’m Cecily Welch, The Accountant You Can Understand®—a CPA and CFP® who makes the most intimidating part of money finally make sense: taxes. Suze Orman owns investing, and Dave Ramsey owns budgeting, but every financial decision—from building wealth to starting a business—lives in tax territory, and that’s where I come in. For more than 30 years, I’ve advised entrepreneurs, Fortune 100 leaders, middle income families, and high net worth taxpayers. I’ve been in the room when CFOs make tax decisions for their companies.
My appointments to national and state policy committees have given me an insider’s view of how tax rules are created, interpreted, and applied.
I care about people, the world cares about money, so I figure the more people understand money, the better the world will be. My mission is to translate the tax system into clear, practical insight and equip audiences to influence tax policy for the better:
