Where do I feel frozen, and what is one tiny movement that feels possible?
Functional freeze is when part of you is still performing, answering, caring, working, showing up…
But inside, something feels stuck.
You may feel heavy.
Foggy.
Numb.
Slow.
Disconnected.
Unable to begin.
Unable to choose.
Unable to move forward.
This is not laziness.
This may be your nervous system protecting you by slowing everything down.
Freeze can happen when the body senses threat, overwhelm, or too much input and does not feel enough safety, power, or support to move into action.
So we do not shame the freeze.
We gently invite movement back.
