Metabolism really isn’t that complicated, friends. There are things you can control—like diet, exercise, and sleep hygiene. As we’ve mentioned, there are also variables we can’t control—like age, sometimes genetics, and certain health conditions. I can’t be sure, but it seems that if we want to make the most out of our metabolic health, we should focus on the things we CAN control, like diet and exercise. 👌
Speaking of, let’s look more closely at diet and exercise.
Friends, you can’t be afraid to eat more if you want to optimize your metabolic health. Your metabolism requires food for energy. If it doesn’t have energy, it can’t do its job. 💯
Also, you already know that building muscle plays a huge role when it comes to your metabolic health, but the truth is that ALL movement matters. Your body burns the most amount of calories throughout the day; therefore, focusing on moving throughout the day should be top priority. You can do this by getting in more NEAT movement (non-exercise activity thermogenesis). For the sake of time, I won’t go into NEAT, but feel free to read about it today if time permits! Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis Is NEAT! 👉The moral of the story? When it comes to metabolic health, food and movement are your best friends! 🔥
