Capacity
We’re in our final days of our STEPtember challenge, and I hope this past month has been fruitful for you. I hope you can see how small things—like adding in extra steps—are the answer when it comes to progressing along your health & wellness journey.
This topic leads me to an important idea: ⬇️
“You can only master something to the level of your capacity for it.”
Oftentimes, we try to overhaul everything at once. And almost always, this results in burning out. It results in what we call a “yo-yo” lifestyle. We try to change everything, yet we don’t have the capacity for it. We get frustrated and we give up. And we start over on Monday. Or when the new year rolls around. You get my point.
Friends, none of your attempts will ever work if you don’t have the capacity for it. That’s the simple truth—and that’s exactly why you must have faith that small steps, mastered over time, ARE the way forward. That is the answer. Take what you have the capacity for (without selling yourself short), and master that. Once you’ve mastered one thing, you can move on to the next. It isn’t the quickest route, but it’s the route that will lead you to where you want to go. 💯
TAKING ACTION:
✅ Does this idea about capacity resonate with you? How many times have you bitten off more than you can chew and crashed shortly afterward?
