Start Here: how Profitable Beekeeping works

Welcome. I'm William Simmons of Ten Box Bees in Burleson, Texas. We run 900-plus colonies and work with 75-plus landowner clients. This group is about making bees pay, step by step, with real numbers.

How it is organized:

1. The path. Four stages: Backyard (1 to 5 hives), Hobbyist (5 to 10), Sideliner (10 to 100), Commercial (100 plus). I will pin a post that explains each stage so you can find yours.

2. The classroom. If you are new, start with Beekeeping Starter Kit and Your first year as a beekeeper, now what?

3. The 7 Day Sideliner Starter Challenge. A week of short tasks that ends with your own one-page plan. The start date will be announced here.

4. A 30 minute Q and A every other Wednesday at 7:00 PM Central (see the calendar), and a monthly profit check-in.

Ground rules:

- Be specific. Share numbers where you can: costs, prices, counts.

- No spam or link dropping. No medical claims about honey.

- Losses are part of beekeeping. Nobody gets judged for a dead hive here, and we ask what happened.

- Nothing posted here is legal or tax advice. County appraisal districts decide ag exemption questions.

- No income is promised in this group. If a post sounds like a promise, say so.
