Hi everyone, Curious what the beach volleyball community thinks about this. I’ve been a lifelong 6v6 indoor player. Grew up in Northern Colorado. I’m also very short for volleyball (5'2) but still managed to get college paid for playing at a few smaller schools through this sport, which I’m super grateful for. Anyway… I might be moving to Florida and would love to get into beach. But I know being 5'2 and trained mostly on the court might make me kind of a wacky beach partner lol. Don’t both players usually need to be able to hit and play at the net? Or are there other ways? I’m not trying to play at some crazy high level, but I also don’t want to just play rec level either. What should someone like me focus on to become a solid sand player? How would you train if you were in my position? Guessing vertical would be the biggest focus but still unsure if at my age (25) I should even be looking at doubles sand. Maybe 4v4s? For context, I was a setter about 90% of my career and my last year of college I played libero. Alright… give it to me straight in the comments. πŸ˜…
