Sorry I’ve been out Backpacking with another men ever!
Here kitty kitty!! We found mountain lion tracks! What a great hike! Scouting out some option in the South Fork area in the white River national forest. 7miles up, then scouted and found a moose shed. Found amazing campsites along the way and fishing spots! September is looking real good if I get that Bull tag. We found some great location to be centered between two really awesome draws. Where Elk can be found. The percentage of finding monster bulls goes way up when it’s harder to get to. This area doesn’t allow for anything motorized or mechanical. Away from all the easy road truck hunters. Away from the guys wanting to take the easy road. I can only post 10 photos at a time. I’ll have to make an instagram post to fit it all in. It’s good getting out and using gear and my body. Thanks @Levi Slaughter good times!!

Hunting helped build America! Happy fourth!!
Before there were grocery stores, there were providers. Before there were cities, there were men willing to step into the wilderness, trusting God to provide. The hunt forged patience, discipline, sacrifice, stewardship, and responsibility. Those same qualities helped families survive, communities flourish, and a nation fight for its freedom. But hunting points to something even greater. Every harvest reminds us that God is our true Provider. Every sacrifice points to Christ, who gave His life so we could have ours. The freedoms we enjoy today were preserved through sacrifice, but they were first entrusted by God. The hunt doesn’t just put meat on the table. It reminds us where every blessing comes from. SWAG!
Rest isn’t the absence of routine. It’s the absence of hurry.
I’ve been rethinking my Sundays. I used to think a rest day meant doing nothing. But the dogs still need fed. The family still needs loved. I still spend time with God. I still stretch and move my body. Sunday isn’t the day I stop being faithful. It’s the day I pull back the throttle and let God’s provision sink in. Think about a garden. All week you plant, water, pull weeds, and cultivate the soil. But eventually you have to step back. You can’t force the plants to grow. The same is true in the gym. You put in the reps. You eat the Protein. You track the macros. Then you have to let your body recover so it can grow. Life with God is no different. Our job is faithfulness. Growth belongs to God. Hurry is often rooted in fear. Fear of falling behind. Fear of missing out. Fear that we aren’t enough. Gratitude silences those fears because it reminds us that the work was never carrying us. God was. So today, I’m not trying to prove I can provide. I’m slowing down long enough to notice what God has already placed in my hands. Because gratitude isn’t what happens after the harvest. It’s what gives you the peace to keep walking toward Monday.

Validation.
Where are you seeking validation? I believe it’s one of the scariest forms of addiction. what I’m learning is that if other people are the ones who are telling me I’m enough, then I’ll spend the rest of my life needing them to keep telling me. That’s a trap. Because the moment the applause stops, so does my Peace. When you stop working for your value and start working from it, that’s when you realize your identity isn’t something you earn. It’s something you live from. That’s a different kind of life. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZ5d4hWz4eN/?igsh=MWdocWMycjBwazZleg==
