$20K in Ads and One Tiny Problem😳
I recently opened a new client’s Meta ad account and found something that made my eye twitch.
They had spent more than $20,000 on ads but never had a Meta Pixel installed on their website.
That means Meta couldn’t properly track what people did after clicking.
We couldn’t clearly see which ads were leading to action, build website retargeting audiences, or use that data to help Meta improve future campaigns.
Basically, they were paying for traffic while missing a huge chunk of the information that traffic could have given them.
This is why I look at so much more than whether an ad looks good.
Before I spend a client’s money, I want to know:
• Is tracking installed correctly?
• Are we measuring the right actions?
• Do we know what happens after someone clicks?
• Can we retarget the people who showed interest?
• Is Meta getting the information it needs to learn?
If you’re currently running ads, do you know if your Pixel is installed and actually working?
No shame if the answer is, “Jen, I have no clue what you just said.” 😂
Tell me below, and I can do a quick Pixel breakdown for the community next.
