This week I’m packing up and heading to Washington, D.C. with my newest children’s book, America 250 Years of Miracles.
A year ago, I was just trying to figure out how to sell my first books at local markets. Since then, I’ve spent countless weekends at vendor events, bookstores, homeschool gatherings, farms, and community festivals meeting families face-to-face.
One thing I’ve learned: books rarely sell themselves.
The conversations matter. The relationships matter.Showing up consistently matters.
Now I’m preparing to bring my books to a national event in our nation’s capital, and honestly, it still feels a little surreal.
For those of you further along in your journey:
What’s one opportunity you’ve had that made you stop and think, “I never imagined I’d be here”?
I’d love to hear your story.
