In this introductory course, you will learn about AuDHD, the dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) which were thought to be mutually exclusive until 2013. You will become familiar with the neurodiversity paradigm, identity-first language, the ASD levels of support as currently defined in the DSM-5, the concept of twice-exceptional (2E), and pathological demand avoidance (PDA), also known as the pervasive drive for autonomy.
