The Chant
Do you always use the fabled and iconic chant when conducting an auction? Well I discovered, about 20 years ago, that when selling art, antiques and collectibles many people can’t follow you so I learned to call bids conversationally. If you’re wondering, I still use “the chant” selling livestock, fairs and galas just not antiques. You might give it a try. Ummm, by tge wsy if you think it’s to slow I averaged 93 lots an hour when this was done.
