🕉️ AUM
AUM is a sacred mantra from the Indian tradition. The ancients understood it as the universal sound of God—the underlying vibration of creation, the frequency that sustains all that is
And beyond philosophy… there’s something real you feel when you practice it
Chanting AUM is deeply centering, grounding, and calming. If you’ve never tried it, today is a perfect opportunity.
🌿 Intention for Today
The purpose of this meditation is simple:
- Reduce anxiety
- Cultivate peace
- Ground your awareness
If you’re looking for stillness… this is a powerful practice.
🎧 Set the Environment
Grab a pair of earbuds and turn on ANC if you have it.
You can play:
- Brown noise
- Ocean sounds
- Any consistent, gently modulating background track
Steady sound helps the mind settle into absorption.
🧘♂️ Get Into Position
Sit comfortably with your back straight:
- Chair
- Couch
- Floor (cross-legged if you prefer)
Choose a position you can sustain without strain.
🌬️ Step 1: Breathing
Start with a calming breath cycle:
- Inhale for 6
- Hold for 6
- Exhale for 6
(Or 4–4–4, or 8–8–8—whatever feels natural)
Do this about 10 times.
Don’t stress about counting.Just relax your body and let tension drop away.
This prepares you for deeper meditation.
🔊 Step 2: AUM Chanting
Now we begin the mantra cycle:
- Inhale for 4 seconds
- Chant A (ah) for 4
- Chant U (oo) for 4
- Chant M (mm) for 4.
Then inhale again and repeat.
👉 One full cycle = 16 seconds(4 inhale + 12 chant)
If you want to go deeper:
- Extend each phase to 6 seconds.
🌌 Let Go Into the Sound
Don’t overthink it.Don’t try to control it.
Let the mantra carry you.
Feel the vibration move through your body…through your chest, your throat, your head…
As if you are tuning yourself to something ancient.Something primordial.
Almost like you’re resonating with the same frequency that gave rise to everything.
Just rest there.
✨ Closing
Take as much time as you need.
Let the sound dissolve into silence.Let the silence settle into you.
