Two days in the life of Elena. Recognize yourself?
A woman with Binge Eating Disorder (BED) experiences recurrent episodes of uncontrolled overeating, mainly in the evening. She eats quickly, even when not hungry, and feels unable to stop. Afterward, she experiences guilt, shame, and distress. The episodes are often triggered by stress, anxiety, or loneliness. Unlike bulimia nervosa, she does not regularly use compensatory behaviors such as vomiting or excessive exercise.
