That I-want-to-be-here energy

I just figured out something about networking events.

I've been an educator and trainer for most of my career. In required sessions or classes, the energy is rough. It's a lot of work to get people to come around and WANT to be there with you.

The energy in a networking event like this is different. People are there by their own choice. They know what going to happen, and they think, 'Yup'.

And that attitude is what makes those small group chats so delightful. We are all eager to learn more about the people around us. I don't know about you, but I took a pageful of notes today.

That I-want-to-be-here energy is infectious.
