Launched on January 20, Deepseek is a new competitor to ChatGPT and Gemini.

Here’s why it’s interesting:

⤷ Better Reasoning

It uses a “Chain of Thought” approach to solve math, logic, and coding problems more effectively.

⤷ Open Source

It’s completely open-source under the MIT license, so anyone can customize and use it for free.

⤷ Cost-Effective

Built with a budget of $6 million, it offers a free web interface for users.

It’s too soon to say if it’s truly better.

Fun Fact:

2 years ago one Google app was enough.

Now we need at least 4 LLM apps to keep up!

Sometimes I miss those simpler days…
