Google Favouring Forums Back to 2005

It looks like we've gone full circle and i'm getting old ☹️

I was doing a little keyword research using google search and noticed the "Forum" tab. I assume this is in response to getting rid of all the generic blog content out there. You know the ones, where you get 100 pages all saying "10 steps to blah, blah, blah"

If you're old enough you may remember back in 2005 or thereabouts, they used to have a menu option for (Google) "groups" which was the forerunners to forums.

I have a couple of blogs which have been badly hit by Google and I'm currently pivoting the style of content to make it suitable for Google 2025.

What are you guys doing to combat the ever changing serps?
