Since I'm an old Shadow Runner I thought this week I would do three Cyberpunk/Magic Plots. Attached are the Basic Plots for each and a detailed plot and ultra plot kit to show you the difference.
A Basic plot is about 2 pages and gives you the basic premise, characters, themes and the basic 2 act scenario (more story styles coming). These take about 5 minutes to generate
A Detailed Plot Can be 10-20 pages and give you the basics and chapter by chapter scene by scene beats. This takes ten minutes or so and runs on a background service so you can go on to something else and come back to it when its done (This background service was the one that needed the decryption protocol fixed)
An ultra plot kit is all of the above, culture reference, background, extensive world building, KDP launch kit, cover prompt ideas, genre details, tropes, subplots, everything. These can take twenty minutes or more to generate, and can be over 100 pages long. There are folks out there selling their version of the Ultra plots for $20-$150 each!
PlotCrafter lets you send these directly to the Binder or Download them for later
The Kindling Choir
Nell Varga is the fixer for a six-member coven of hedge witches squatting in a gutted laundromat in the Sprawl's flood-bottom district. She runs cheap wards for noodle stalls, patches black-market implants with tallow-and-copper charms, and would die for the misfits who hauled her half-drowned out of the Kettle Street tenement fourteen years ago. When she finds their mentor's ledger, she learns the coven's rent and medicine are paid by a quiet contract with Halvard-Kine Power: Mother Oyelaran binds the ghosts of the uncounted poor into reliquary cells, and Kine burns them as fuel in reactors whose hum the old witches call the Choir. A Kine intelligence handler offers Nell a way to burn the whole operation down, and Nell becomes a spy inside her own family. Every step toward freeing the dead costs someone she loves, and the deepest lie waiting at the bottom of the ledger is her own name, entered on the night she was saved.
House Rules
In the rain-slick arcology city of Vantor, Meridian-Sato Holdings keeps its debtors obedient by warehousing their true names in spell-locked server vaults. Whoever holds a name can compel its owner. Isolde Rask sold hers at nineteen to pay for her younger brother's neural lace. Eleven years later she is a burned-out hexrunner casting on leased name-fragments that eat her memories, and she wants herself back. Archon Teodor Brisk, the magitech entity who holds her contract, offers a wager instead of a fight. If she carries her name out of Vault Nine by dawn under the House Rules, it is hers forever. If she breaks a single rule, every accomplice forfeits their own name to him. Then he amends the rules mid-job, because one clause she signed lets the House revise its terms with notice. Heist structure meets contract law meets Names Have Power. The only way to beat a man who defines winning is to learn to want exactly what he defined, then find out whether wanting it on his terms can still be called freedom.
Small Hours
Ruth Anselm scrubs haunted cyberware in Lowmarket District for pocket change, and every exorcism costs her a memory, which she writes into a notebook her younger sister Beata reads back to her on Sunday nights. When Tessaly Group writes Lowmarket off its books and cuts power to the district's registry daemon, the starving daemon, called the Quiet by the people who can feel it, begins to eat. Streets vanish from maps and then from the ground. Mothers forget their sons. Doors open onto brick. Ruth sets out to save forty thousand people, and the circle she can hold shrinks with every memory she spends: the district, the neighborhood, Tannery Row, her building, one apartment, one name. The Quiet is not destroying the world. It is keeping only what is loved enough to be remembered, making the world small enough to love, and Ruth is running out of self to spend on the people she refuses to let it take.
I have included all three basic plots and a detailed an ultra plot sample so you can compare the differences. NOTE: a Basic, Detailed, and Ultra run on the same plotcrafter idea will be different as they are generated from scratch using the same premise. They will be VERY similar but the details may vary.
Let me know what you think!
