Monthly Onboarding Call Recap — June 29
What We Covered
Three real questions from real members. Here is what came out of today's call.
1. Overwhelmed Before You Start? Do This First.
If you are juggling the AI Identity Lab and other programs at the same time, do not try to do everything at once. Start with the Carousel Studio workshop replay. It is 58 minutes, you can watch it at speed, and Molly built her tool in under 20 minutes. You will have a reusable content asset running while you are still doing your foundational work in the background. One thing, moving, posting. That is the strategy.
Your action: Watch the Carousel Studio workshop replay and build your tool before you touch anything else.
2. Getting Print-Quality Images from ChatGPT
ChatGPT images default to a 1024x1024 or 4x5 portrait ratio, which is great for social media and not great for print. Two things that help:
In your prompt, use words like:
  • 8K detail
  • Ultra high resolution
  • Commercial photography quality
  • Sharp focus
  • Hyper realism
These do not guarantee a specific pixel count, but they signal to the model what quality you need and make a measurable difference.
For printing: Do not download and re-upload. Create your image, bring it into Canva, then share the Canva link directly with your printer. Downloading degrades quality. The link preserves it.
For platform-specific sizing (LinkedIn banner, etc.): Ask ChatGPT to resize the image for the exact dimensions before you export. It will handle the resize at generation quality rather than stretching a small image into a large frame.
3. Annual AI Subscriptions: Stop Buying Them
If you are not using a tool regularly and love it, cancel it. The AI landscape is moving too fast for annual commitments to make sense. Lindsay canceled four AI subscriptions in the last two months. Tools that were the recommendation six months ago are no longer the recommendation today. Buy monthly. Test. If you love it and use it, keep it. If not, cut it.
What Came Up in the Room
Chris shared her workflow for creating an AI video of her cat Mollike using ChatGPT for images, C-Dance and Omni for video, and Galaxy for voiceover.
Key learning: Character DNA in OpenArt failed to capture subtle detail (white chest markings), while a custom FlexLore model succeeded. Specialized tools for specific tasks.
