Hey, i came across a great read about the development of the Birdbrain model built for Duolingo. It explores what worked well, what didn't and why, lessons learned - the whole process from the AI engineering team. I particularly liked this because it takes you through the history of the Duolingo app from no ai to developing the Birdbrain system for personlised learning... discussing the business problems and engineering the right solution. There's one or two details that go a little over my head... but i need to learn more about neural networks so thats cool. Its a real world application i've enjoyed using and i don't often get to hear the engineering development story of these apps so it was an awesome read. I thought it would be great to share here.
