I'm writing this because I care deeply about this community.
I see the incredible energy and passion you're all pouring into your work and education, and I want to make sure we are all on the smartest path forward.
To do that, we need to have a serious, honest conversation.
Many of us are competing against each other, trying to build a better SaaS, brand, product or agency.
But that's the wrong competition.
The real competition is the bullet train coming down the track: first AGI, and then ASI.
The old way of making money online, selling your knowledge or skill, is dying. AGI will make knowledge arbitrage worthless because it will provide better, personalized plans for free and be able to build entire businesses in hours that will crush the competition on price and dev cycles.
This means many of the AI businesses people are starting today have a built-in expiration date and the key is to be aware of this!
THE DANGER ZONE: BUSINESSES THAT WILL FAIL
If your business is on this list, don't panic. It’s not a failure. It's a signal that we need a strategic plan to pivot. You need to cash out on what you can before AGI takes all the cash.
These models are built on a foundation that is about to crumble:
- SaaS "Wrappers" and Automations: An app that's just a nice design on top of a basic AI function (like a caption writer, image creator, video creator, etc.). AGI will absorb these functions, making them pretty much free features.
- Generic Content & SEO Agencies: AGI will produce unlimited content, making this a race to the bottom.
- Broad-Topic Coaching/Courses: AGI will be the ultimate free, personal tutor.
This is the hard truth. But it's also where our real strategy begins.
OUR PIVOT PLAN: THE TEMPORARY WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY
We have a window of time between AGI becoming mainstream and ASI changing the world in ways we can't even comprehend. Our job is to use this window to build the resources we need now.
The strategies below are not permanent solutions. ASI + Robots will eventually replace these too.
These are the smart, temporary plays we can run now to generate the capital we need for our ultimate goal.
- Businesses in the Physical World & Physical Products
AGI lives in the cloud, but we live with atoms. This is a huge advantage for us right now, and this strategy has two powerful parts.
First, we can build AI-powered tools for real-world businesses. Think about construction, plumbing, elder care, or HVAC repair. These businesses solve problems that require a human to be physically present. AGI can't fix a leaky pipe through a computer screen. Our opportunity isn't to become plumbers; it's to become the tech partner for every plumber in our city. We can build the "AI operating system" that handles their scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and customer follow-up, saving them time and making them more money. We solve their deep, expensive problems, which allows us to charge premium prices and build our capital fast.
Second, we can build businesses that create and sell actual physical products. In a world where digital information becomes free, a tangible item you can hold has real, undeniable value. We can use our AI and automation skills to create an unfair advantage here. We can use AI to spot a niche in the market for a new product, design it, and then use automation to manage the entire supply chain, from the factory to the customer's front door. This isn't just dropshipping. This is about creating our own unique, AI-native brands.
Heads up: We need to be clear-eyed. This is a temporary advantage. Eventually, sophisticated robots are coming that will handle construction, repairs, and manufacturing. But "eventually" is not "now." This window—between today and the rise of advanced robotics—is our golden hour to build cash-generating businesses tied to the real world.
- True Human Connection & Community
AGI can process data, but it can't replicate trust or a sense of belonging. It can't share a personal story of failure and the genuine lesson learned. It can't look another person in the eye and make them feel understood. This is a deep human need that technology will never fill, and it's a massive opportunity for us.
The old model of selling a course based on information is dead. The new model is to build a community where people pay for connection and transformation. Our opportunity is to become true leaders. This means creating paid masterminds where the real value isn't the monthly lesson, but the daily chat where members support each other and hold each other accountable. It means building a niche online community that becomes the best place in the world for a specific type of person to connect and feel at home.
People are not paying for your information; they are paying for your leadership and for access to the safe, inspiring space you create for them. A business built on true human connection provides a powerful, sustainable revenue stream to fund our long-term goals.
- Businesses Built on "Walled Data"
AI models are incredibly powerful, but they have a critical weakness: they can only be trained on data they can access. The entire public internet is their classroom. But any data that is private, proprietary, and valuable is a blind spot. This blind spot is where we can build a powerful, temporary moat.
The strategy is to find, acquire, or create a unique dataset and then build a tool on top of it that provides insights no public AGI can replicate. For example, you could build a service that collects private, anonymized sales data from hundreds of e-commerce stores. You could then sell an AI-powered tool that analyzes this walled data to predict market trends with an accuracy that ChatGPT could only dream of. Another example is collecting specific, local data—like detailed real estate transactions or local business performance—and building a tool for investors.
The goal is to own the data. While generic AGI becomes a free commodity, your business becomes the exclusive source for unique insights. This is a high-leverage way to build a defensible business in the AGI era and generate the serious capital needed for our ultimate goal.
The goal of these businesses is not to last forever. The goal is to be a cash-flow engine for the endgame.
THE ENDGAME: BUILDING OUR REAL LEGACY
The capital we generate from these ventures is our war chest for the next economy. We must use it to buy what ASI cannot print.
This is why I am so passionate about this: we need to invest in real-world, life-sustaining assets. Invest in organic, sustainable farms. Partner with growers. Fund the systems that create natural food.
When digital intelligence is free and abundant, the only things with true value will be the physical resources that sustain human life. Your AI agency isn't the final goal. The cash it generates, when turned into a stake in a productive farm that feeds real people, is what builds real security.
A single person will struggle through this transition. But a community of builders who are honest about the future, who share what's working, and who help each other pivot? We will be unstoppable.
