I've been hosting weekly events with the JoinLeland.com team. I must say, it's been fruitful. The algorithm pushes it to a steady stream of people that actually sign up and attend webinars. From the screenshot, assume 30-40% actual show rate.

Coupled with free events, I've been posting consistently with an amazing editor team on YouTube!

On paper, things look good.

In reality, I just got an API leak that costs me $2k overnight. Yes, I disputed it and should (Lord Willing) get it back within 10 days. I learned this is common. Don't save your debit card in your browser. Fuck Link.com , they somehow got hacked and overnight, I was getting $400-800 Anthropic charges. OpenAI had $400 credit balance and >12 hours later was at -$274.

Not the end of the world. It was a stressful Wednesday.

This could have been so much worse.

I feel like over the last 3 years of living and breathing the AI/Automation space, I have no business still struggling to consistently net over $10k monthly from this. I've had a lot of lessons along the way, and I really do feel like I'm firing on all cylinders.

I still work a 9-5 day job for stability and I've spent years 9-9 in front of the screen. If I'm not working out or with people, I'm invigorating myself in this endless sprint of "struggle". It's not void of joy, I've brought in consistently <$2-4k no matter what on top of my other salary, and that being USD while I live in Toronto is sweet.

In my day job, I'm rationalizing $95k investments from an energy/utility company that saves them over $275k+ annually. I know for a fact, these AI Harnesses, the same ones KPMG charges $15k every 1/4th phase, the same value prop that I've built for a handful of clients >$4k.

It's plastered all over content schedule, I bet the horse on this from January forward. Before Peter Steinberger joined OpenAI.

11 OpenClaws, 4 Hermes agents, 3 Claude Cowork setups. All at a fraction of what market costs, most for trade (aka free). I haven't been able to target mid market at the volume I should outside of organic content, so I'm reinvesting heavily into a working email campaign. That's where I'm at today, everything before this was mostly climbing referrals.

Financially, I've halved my total debt since the start of 2026. The day job helped. After breaking my leg a year and a half ago, I was able to afford G2 lessons so I could drive. In spirit of FIFA coming to Toronto in June, I'm offering free advertising by building HTML5 pages with Claude Artifacts with you.

Book through the site, reference FIFA, and I'll honour it with a scoped contract.

Tradeoff is I need ideas for growth. Whatever's successful and working, this community truly grows on the shoulders of giants we stand on. I know money will come, I'd just like to taste sunshine this summer instead of another one behind LED.
