Replaced our entire IT helpdesk with a WhatsApp bot — full architecture inside
Hey everyone,
Just shipped something I've been building for weeks and wanted to share with this community.
What I built: a full AI-powered IT support system running on WhatsApp Business API. Employees just message it and it handles everything automatically.
The stack:
- n8n (13 workflows, 140+ nodes)
- Claude AI for intent classification
- Supabase for conversation state + memory
- Microsoft Graph API for room booking
- Twilio for WhatsApp Business API
- Odoo for helpdesk tickets
Results:
- Response time: hours → 3 seconds
- Zero phone calls needed
- 24/7 availability
- 100/100 QA tests passing
The hardest part wasn't the AI. It was building a state machine for 14 conversation contexts with no framework — pure logic.
Also hit a nasty race condition with parallel Supabase writes. Happy to go deep on how I solved it if anyone's curious.
