One thing I realized recently is quite a few people who are hiring "AI PEOPLE" have no idea what we do. They expect that you hire one person and that solves all of their problems. This also comes into light in how they expect you to "charge" for your services. If you are going up for a consultant gig or even an AI Executive role, it has to be made clear that expertise in subject matter still matters. Just because AI can do something doesn't mean it should and not all AI execs or consultants have the same experience.
Taste comes into play and knowledge in areas is still very much important. We, as ai orchestrators and solution architects, still have teams and tastemakers in areas that don't fit within us.
Now if you DO have expertise in every area, you should still charge for those pieces of expertise and knowledge separately.
