I just got paid by my first client. It’s not a lot, just $80, but it’s a start.
A few things I messed up with this client:
  • I agreed to ongoing support, but we never set clear terms.
  • We’re currently using my OpenAI account, Render account, and Railway account.
Lesson learned: for the next job, once the work is done, I need to clearly define the handover process and set a small retainer fee for support.
Another thing I realized is that I’m the bottleneck when it comes to getting more jobs. The better and faster I get, the more work I can handle.
