Automating Estimation for Manufacturing

This has been my weekend project. I saw a job posting on linkedin last friday and I got a shit eating grin, what if I could automate this job using ai? The job posting was for a new project estimator for a manufacturing company that focuses on sunshades, balconies, and awnings. While I did not build a automation to completely replace that job position, I built a helpful tool that could calculate the costs of each product they sell.

I used Vercel's v0, which is a tool similar to firebase studio in order to code up a simple front end. The hardest part about this project was getting the backend n8n calculation data to show on the v0 front end. I had to call up my biz partner in order to look at my code and come up with some solutions. Vibe coding will only take you so far. 😂

I plan on creating a more professional showcase of the demo product and send it over to the company and see if they show any interest, if not I will just find similar companies like them and send it to them.
