1 - What I built An automated newsletter on Modal: it researches the week's news with Claude + web_search, builds the HTML in SimpleVAD's brand identity, generates an AI editorial hero image (KIE/Nano Banana) based on the dominant topic, validates it, and sends it by email. All with cost safeguards and a weekly cron

2 - One thing I learned That image models can't be fully trusted with exact text/numbers (they still then to hallucinate there), but they're great for visuals.

3 - One thing I'd improve Deliverability - it landed in spam. Next iteration starts by setting up the domain's DKIM/DMARC before sending anything, since that moves the needle more than any code tweak.

the image is in Spanish, because of course Jesus speaks Spanish, but the learning has no language :)
