7-day AIS challenge - Day 5: Website Building

Really proud of this one.

I built SupplyCheck (supplycheck.io) from scratch with Claude Code. It's a search engine for additive manufacturing: you find 3D printing suppliers by what they can actually make (technology, material, capability), not by brand name. 365 verified suppliers, 56 countries, 49 technologies, 148 materials, all on one interactive global map.

The hack that made the biggest difference for me: I let Claude screenshot its own work and iterate on the design itself. Instead of me describing every pixel, Claude would build a section, take a screenshot, compare it against what I asked for, spot the gaps ("heading too big, card spacing off, colors too flat") and fix them. Two or three rounds and the page looked exactly like I had it in my head.

No Webflow, no template, no designer. Built from scratch through conversation.

It took a lot of back and forth, but it's nothing compared to what this would have cost me the old way.
