This release focuses on the Core: a redesigned sidebar, a round of optimizations, and many fixes across the board. New sidebar organization: Chats and scheduled tasks now live in collapsible project folders. You can filter, sort, reorder with drag and drop, move items between projects, and pin the folders you use most. Deeply nested workers are shown in the sidebar, and subordinate names plus project and profile model presets are preserved when delegating or continuing work. Speed and optimizations: The prompt cache is more stable across turns, and each model call carries less overhead thanks to faster preset and plugin lookups, fewer unnecessary processing steps, and reused Codex connections. Settings save faster while preserving complete API-key pools, escaped and multiline secrets, and masked values across key-name casing changes. Large source files open much faster in the Editor. Files: Breadcrumb and text path modes, folder autocomplete, a configurable starting folder, clickable rows, and inline creation and renaming. Open browsers are reused and picker state is preserved. The UX of the file browser has improved substantially after the recent redesign. Models and providers: Native model commentary is displayed as streamed thoughts and preserved during Responses history replay. Provider refusals are surfaced clearly, and blocked requests are no longer retried automatically. Saved credentials for local model providers are no longer overridden (this was a huge blocker for local model enthusiasts). Integrations: Telegram and WhatsApp slash commands expanded with command menus, permissions, plugin settings, confirmed compaction, transcript exports, and chat selection. Project- and agent-profile-scoped configuration for Telegram, WhatsApp, and Email, with simpler integration settings. Browser, UI, and reliability: Better mobile composer sizing, terminal readability, touch behavior, and settings navigation, with chat controls accessible through overflow menus.

File browser rebuilt: The File browser now has directory trees, list and icon views, sorting preferences, and its own Settings category. The Editor unifies text and code editing with syntax highlighting, line numbers, search, Markdown previews, and protection against conflicting saves. Remote file access: Browse and edit folders exposed by connected A0 CLI and Launcher instances directly from the Web UI, with granular permission checks. Transfers are hardened with streaming, integrity checks, atomic writes, configurable limits, and safe archive handling. Beta, feedback wanted - A0 Tag: With an Agent Zero instance open in a Launcher tab, press Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + Enter and ask A0 to do anything on your computer from the app you are in. It can also type text directly in place, currently in text editors, email clients, and custom fields. Credential fields are intentionally not supported for security reasons. This is the speed release, with some serious resilience work underneath. We halved the time between your prompt and the first token in Agent Zero. In the Launcher, startup time is also cut in half, and saving settings and Instance operations are about 30x faster. Context Doctor: A brilliant community contribution that brings a new recovery layer that repairs malformed tool-call JSON and recovers from empty, repeated, or misformatted model responses. If you run small local models or providers that occasionally misbehave, your runs stop derailing. Context-window indicator: You can now see live token usage, remaining context space, provider-reported costs, cache hits, and generation updates while the agent works. No more guessing what a run costs or when compaction will kick in. Vision sidecar: Another community contribution. Configure a separate vision model alongside your main model. Perfect when your favorite text model has no vision support, or when you want a cheaper model handling images. Also in Core: - The WebUI is faster and steadier during high-rate streaming with progressive Markdown and LaTeX rendering. - Transports now default to Chat Completions, which makes life easier for plugin developers bringing in new providers. - The interactive Browser gets configurable keyboard layouts with better macOS Option and AltGr handling. CLI: - WebSocket recovery keeps running through long outages with safe ownership transfer during reconnects, host changes, and shutdown. - Authorized Chrome/CDP sessions are more stable with persistent browser identities. - Now you get terminal-native ready notifications when TUI or headless runs complete. Launcher: - Startup, Versions, Settings, and Instance operations reuse current data, so everything feels instant while explicit refreshes stay authoritative. - There is a brand new Advanced section for power users: a file-first workspace for Dockerfiles and Compose files with fixed build, run, and teardown actions. - Running local Instances get a native Restart that waits for the Agent Zero UI to be ready.

Three main dishes this time: a Browser that works on the real web, @ tagging for everything, and ACP support in the CLI. The Browser got stealthy: The internal Browser now handles bot detection properly. Sites that flagged Agent Zero as a bot and were unusable in previous versions now just work, including Gmail and your social accounts. You sign in yourself through an interactive authenticated viewport, then the agent works inside your session. The Browser runtime is shared across chats: sign in once, every chat can use it, tabs restore automatically, and cleanup is safer. On top of that: native resizing, DOM hover support, multi-page annotations, clearer loading feedback, and voice controls. The attached video shows it browsing Gmail. Tag anything with @: Type @ in the composer and get scoped autocomplete for agent profiles, files, folders, skills, and MCP servers. No more typing full paths or remembering exact names. It works in the Web UI and in the CLI, where completion also covers bounded local or container workspace paths. Composer drafts now persist per chat too, so a reload never eats your half-written message. The CLI speaks ACP: Run 'a0 acp' and the CLI starts an Agent Client Protocol stdio server backed by the Agent Zero connector, with session lifecycle and host-tool support. In practice, external editors that support ACP can now host Agent Zero directly: your editor becomes the frontend, Agent Zero does the work. Also in this release: Unified subordinate agent lifecycle across direct and parallel calls with resumable failed children, streamed tool calls preserved when final response envelopes omit them, plugin reload prompts scoped to global changes only, authenticated extension routes with path-traversal protection, and backup restore that no longer affects the active process settings. This is the Agent Editor release. Creating custom agents no longer requires touching a single JSON or YAML file. This is a new, full interface for creating, customizing, and managing agent profiles directly from the Web UI. Easy mode covers identity, instructions, model preset, and avatar for a quick start. Advanced mode gives you granular control over every part of the framework: framework prompts, agent prompts, and everything that revolves around them, edited in a full-height code editor. Changes are sparse and non-destructive, so your overrides layer on top of defaults and inherited profiles can always be restored. Tool, MCP, and Skill policies: Every agent gets explicit default switches plus per-item controls for tools, MCP servers, and skills. Decide exactly what each agent can and cannot use, and the policy is enforced everywhere: prompts, schemas, execution, and delegated agents. Profiles can be global or project-scoped with clean inheritance. One-command agents: Type /profile "research-analyst" "You analyze papers and produce structured reports" and you get a new agent plus a fresh chat with it. Works in both the Web UI and the CLI. There is also /permissions, which opens the current profile's policy editor straight from chat. The attached video shows both flows.
