🌿 Why I Added This to Our (7-minute) Movement Breaks
I’ve been thinking…
We have Tai Chi.
We have gentle movement.
We have stretching and strength.
But something was missing.
So much of the world talks about “Mommy & Me.”
And I kept thinking…
What about Grandma & Me?
What about Grandpa & Me?
I’m 73 years young. And I’ll be honest — some days I don’t feel like doing Tai Chi.
But put on a high-energy worship song with kids jumping and praising?
My whole body wakes up.
My spirit wakes up.
I literally find myself smiling.
Sometimes I even pretend they’re my own grandkids on the screen.
And here’s what I realized:
Movement doesn’t always have to be quiet and calm.
Sometimes it’s joyful.
Sometimes it’s silly.
Sometimes it’s loud praise in your living room.
If you have grandchildren over a year old…You can absolutely do this with them.
If your grandkids live far away? Turn on video and imagine them beside you.
If you’re a stay-at-home mom? This gives you cardio and connection at the same time.
So I’ve added this new section because:
🌿 Grandmas matter.
🌿 Grandpas matter.
🌿 Intergenerational movement matters.
🌿 Joyful worship counts as exercise.
You don’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to be coordinated. You just have to press play.
Here’s a playlist to help you get started:
When you try one of the songs, comment “DONE” and leave your thoughts so we can cheer you on.
Let’s make room for Grandma, Grandpa & Me.
With love,
Grandma Grady 💛
