Light After Dark
Sitting in darkness to find light again.
After being in survival mode for so long,
finally starting to see the wins,
through the winds of change.
And changing my mind frame
from victimizing to victorcizing
everything that seems like it might be... attacking or coming against me.
I looked up one day
and even saw my clothes differently.
Caked with memories of relationships
that will never be... again.
But if I throw them away,
I'll have less to swing.
And I think I'm okay with that.
The old must pass away.
The new is not here to stay.
It comes and goes as it will, and as it may.
And I still,
must create space.
For experiences that want to fill this place,
With newness.
