Hi, my thriving friends! Happy Friday! As we dive into the weekend with our kiddos, here's something to ponder on...🥰
After volunteering at my two boys’ schools (and being present for their activities over the years)...
I’ve noticed something that hasn’t really changed.
A lot of kids are learning how to understand their feelings (which is amazing 🥳).
But even when they DO understand their emotions…
They still struggle with things like:
- Missing social cues
- Feeling unsure in group projects
- Having low self-confidence in social situations
- “Why is making friends so confusing?”
- “What did I do wrong?”
And it made me wonder…
👉 What if the missing piece isn’t just emotional skills…
👉 But understanding other people? And social situations?
I’m exploring something around helping kids:
- Read social cues
- Understand what others might be feeling
- Navigate conversations and friendships more easily
These topics are already hard, especially for ADHD adults. So I could imagine how much harder it could be for kiddos!
Before I build anything, I’m curious:
💬 What’s one social situation your child finds confusing or hard to navigate?
Even one word or a short example helps me understand what’s really happening with children nowadays.
👉 If answering a poll is easier: Where do you see children struggle the most?
Thanks in advance!
