Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to this awesome community! My name’s Jeronimo, but it’s a bit of a mouthful for some people, so feel free to call me Coach Jay! I’m 24 years old and originally from Mexico. Football has been a part of my life since I could walk, and I’ve always had a ball at my feet. Though I was born in Mexico, I’ve spent most of my life traveling. By the time I turned 19, I’d already lived in 7 different countries across 4 continents and 10 cities! (Let me know where you guys are from!! Maybe I've already lived or been to wherever you are!) No matter where I was, I always made sure to be involved in a football team, whether it was school or a club outside of school. Honestly, most of the time, I played for my school team and one or two clubs on the side. When I was 17, I got a chance to play at a very high level in Spain. I spent a year at the Rayo Vallecano academy in Madrid before moving to the Valencia Academy the following year. I played for their U19 side as well as their U21s. Although I chose to pursue a university degree, I kept playing football. I even made it onto my university team, but unfortunately, COVID hit, and I had to stop playing. That’s when I decided to transition into coaching. I got my Grassroots coaching license and I am currently in the process of getting my UEFA C license! The dream is to eventually get my UEFA A license and possibly coach a professional team!! Football has been my passion through and through, and it still is today! When I’m not on the pitch coaching or playing, you’ll find me watching live games, catching highlights, or training—whether it’s on the field or at the beach with my boy, Felix Schwarze. Football has taught me so much over the years, and I’m excited to be part of this community and share everything I’ve learned with all of you. Looking forward to connecting with everyone! and if you guys have any questions about anything, please don't hesitate to reach out!! 🫡 🌞 🤙🏽
