Week One let’s go ! 🎉🎉🎉
Follow the link below which will take you to Google Maps, switch to Street View… and have a wander.
You’ll find yourself near the beautiful coastline around Whitsand Bay in South Cornwall with dramatic cliffs, winding roads, sea stretching out forever. On a clear day the light is just magic. ✨
✏️ What to look for
- The curve of the coastline
- Clifftop grasses moving in the wind
- Texture in the rock faces
- Tiny details like fences, signs, pathways
- The horizon line where sea meets sky
Remember you don’t have to stay in the exact spot you’ve landed in go and have a stroll ❤️
You could:
- Do a loose 5 minute line sketch
- Focus just on the shapes of the cliffs
- Study the tones of sea and sky
- Zoom right in and draw a single detail
- You could write a poem about how it makes you feel.
- Write a small piece of music if that’s your jam.
And remember…
It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be yours.
Starting local to me feels grounding. Before we hop across oceans, I want to honour my own shoreline first. I am so excited for you to go exploring !
