Here’s a roadmap @Samir Dafis Set a time limit on how long to take on a portfolio website for yourself. As web designers, we can be perfectionists and take months building the perfect portfolio site but that won’t help us get closer to landing clients and making $$🤑. I’d say try to knock it out in a weekend. Once you have your portfolio, I’d select a niche. What niche are most of your projects in already? What are you interested in? What do you already know a lot about? Most importantly, what niche values high ticket web design and who needs our services the most? Next, I’d create a value offer to start reaching out to businesses in the niche you selected. For example, let’s say you select the travel and hospitality niche. An offer may be “I’ll increase bookings by 20% with my web design or you don’t pay” 99% of people are pitching them generic web design and SEO but in 2025 you have to stand out. If you reach out to 100 business a day on Instagram DMs, send 100 cold personalized emails, or pick up the phone and pitch your unique value offer, you will get clients. It’s just a game of numbers and consistency. I hope some of this insight helps Samir. Something I’ve learned over my journey and something I still have to remind myself of is that messy action is better than no action. Speed is key.

@Aiza Ishfaq A couple ways I’ve been experimenting with getting leads from cold outreach: Reach owl is a tool for Facebook to automate Facebook dms. Use an automation tool to find businesses without websites or outdated websites on Google. I’ve been using leadsgorilla. It’s a one time payment of $37 bucks (which I liked to save on monthly subscriptions) and then you connect your Google places API to find business on Google and Facebook. It’s then easy to export into a CSV. Something I’m experimenting with is voicemail drops. Not everyone answers a phone call but most people will listen to their voicemails before deleting. I don’t have any data on this yet but I’m excited to roll this out. If you reach out to 100+ business a day you will get clients. It’s a game of consistency and numbers.
