What does Fed mean ? 0 to 1 cut this year?
Wednesday - Fed held the rate steady. During Powell's speech, they are looking to hold the rate steady with 0 to 1 interest rate cut this year. What does it mean? How does that impact the market? Bond market maintained its strength Gold has fallen around 10% in the last week or so Silver has been dropping as well. Silver has been forming a top similar to major bubbles. Oil price spiked up above $100 but now dropping down to low 90s. The stock market initially went down but recovered later the day on Thursday. Similar to Bank of Canada, the Fed is holding the interest rate steady as oil price is high. My forecast remains that if oil price drops in the coming months, the stock market will rise.
