Happy monday!
What are you guys going to work on this week? I'm getting back in the swing of things, meaning I'll start my strength and conditioning training again. Not the typical bodybuilder splits, but also some jump variations and neck/upper back work. Since so much of our movements are in front of us, thoracic extensions have been a game changer to add in. And getting a strong neck is paramount to withstand the shocks we endure every day.

Not just for martial arts, but more in general: the lower back seems to be a problematic area for many people. The reason being of course most of us work using a computer, sitting in a chair most of the time.
Live class soon?
Hey all, We're considering adding cameras to our dojo for multiple reasons: - Producing more content - Reviewing sparring sessions - Reviewing our own technique And last but not least... Hosting a live class for rishinjuku karate instructors! Let us know if this is something that interests you. OSU

Excellent tool for analysis indeed. Not so sure about the content part. Would that mean every training session - or parts of it - goes on social media?

Brent’s of SFDOJO Belgium: fight in Japan
I enjoyed the walkout. The fight itself starts at the 2:50 mark.

Mooie prestatie. Zo kalm en beheerst, ook het publiek en de tegenstander. 👍
Watch and try it
What would make you personally watch and immediately get up and try a move or principle you just saw in the video? How can we make a difference between “binge watching” and people actually absorbing the knowledge into their daily practice? I am curious 👀 about your ideas 💡.

Here’s the magic formula: use short video’s with a clear and simple message. New message = new video. Demonstrate the move and break it down into different steps. Make use of slow motion. And last but not least: use as little words as possible. First show, then tell.
