And that’s a wrap for MYAL 2025!
Thanks so much to everyone who joined the Live Fashion Show! It was amazing hearing your stories and seeing all your awesome projects. If you missed it, here’s the recording so you can catch up! Most of you said you’d love to do this again, so it’s definitely looking like it’ll happen. 😍 The only question now is about the yarn weight. I know the group might be a bit biased since you just finished a fingering weight sweater, but let’s hear what you think anyway—what should next year’s MYAL yarn weight be? 🤔 Share your thoughts in the comments if you have strong opinions about a specific weight and the reasons behind it! 🙏

I enjoyed several things but learning new techniques is something I try to do with most new projects. this achieved that. i'm hearing cardigan and i've never steeked before so that could be an adventure. I almost exclusively knit in fingering weight these days cause i'll never wear a heavier sweater. too hot. HOWEVER if its a cardigan maybe dk works cause I can wear like a jacket. all love!

this sounds like fun but I already started another sweater that doesn't qualify. I also didn't know you had more than one event a year. @Zanete Hussain are there more to come?

@Zanete Hussain awesome. thank you.
MYAL 2025 FOs
As has been suggested, it would be great to have one thread where people can show off their finished sweaters!! Let this be the thread and I look forward to seeing all the gorgeous versions in one place ❤️ Also, if you can state the yarn brand & colourway you used, it might help others choosing combinations for their future projects. 🙏

Clue 7 - the final clue - is waiting for you!
I’m a little sad to say I’ve just uploaded the final clue for this mystery yokealong. If you’ve been keeping up, you’ll know it’s the last piece of the puzzle—yep, the sleeves! I can’t wait to see all the creative takes on the sleeves, just like we saw with the neckband. I hope you enjoy these final instructions as much as I’ve loved putting this year’s mystery together. This has turned out to be so much more than I ever imagined. Thank you all so much!

I think im foregoing one of the braids in the body entirely. maybe one day i'll get the gumption. #Time2Block
DECREASE NECK BAND
any recommendations? I'd like to make my neck opening smaller and maybe more stable before ribbing. I also really like the collar's look on the SONG OF THE MOON sweater (pictured below) has anyone here made it? @Zanete Hussain could I apply that here on this one? would it make much of a difference?

I was recommended this technique to create a crochet chain along the neck to create a more stable base and it worked. I also decreased 2 inches from my circumference in the process. *side note: I purchased the "song of the moon" pattern just for the neck and now might not use that feature. I will however, likely make that sweater one day. so...win. https://biscotteyarns.com/blogs/knitting/how-to-perfect-a-neckline-when-picking-up-stitches

@Lan Ma I had to re-do the collar a couple times. This last time I left it unfinished. Gonna finish this second sleeve and then go back to the collar.
