Migration Scenario
Hi All, We currently have a large number of ETL pipelines in ADF running Databricks Notebooks, which handle data transformations and audit checks etc before loading into Delta Lake. As we're considering migrating our ADF workload from Databricks to Microsoft Fabric, is there a recommended approach or best practice for doing this?

Data Pipelines in Fabric offer Azure databricks as a pipeline activity where you are able to connect to databricks as a source, select the type (notebook/jar/python script) and also create clusters.
AI Skill (Preview) in Microsoft Fabric
I attended the #AgentCon by Microsoft at Strathmore University, during the Data analytics breakout session, there was a demo presentation of AI Skill item introduced to Fabric three days ago. The AI skill is a cool feature—it's similar to Co-pilot but answers your questions based on the data in your lakehouse and also provides the underlying SQL code, this way, you don't even need to know the tables or columns containing the data. You simply ask the AI, and it retrieves everything for you. You can also instruct it to perform specific tasks. However, I am trying to create the AI Skill item now but keep encountering an error. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue on their trial capacity? Another cool demo showcased AI Functions, which you can explore further using this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-science/ai-functions/overview. The demo used a sales sample dataset. These functions could generate a sentiment Analysis based on the customer review, fix grammar in the customer review column, translate the customer review to the specified language and more. I was amazed to see what AI can do in Fabric

I have been getting an error too: PbiApiError
ERROR: FAILED TO RENDER CONTENT
So, apparently I have been trying to ingest over 7 million rows from an API to a lakehouse table using a notebook, and due to rate limiting, it has taken quite a while (more than expected). Two challenges: 1. "Failed to render content" screen whenever I try to access the pipeline while it runs. 2. The pipeline times out after 12 hours Is this normal?

@Anthony Kain I am actually using the free trial, running the notebook in a pipeline and yes, I am passing three base parameters from the pipeline to the notebook.
Parameter passing credentials help!!
Hi all, I have a notebook that I connect salesforce data to via the python library simple-salesforce. Attached it’ll how I want to authenticate and have credentials stored outside of the notebook (I.e. a pipeline or environment. I tried a pipeline and adding them in the base parameters. The pipeline successfully runs but the notebook shows the error! Please help

Hi @Will Needham What if I have specified countries = ['countries'] in a parameter cell, and countries parameter string values as ['GRD','GTM','HND'] in the pipeline?
I took the DP-700 today and I passed! 🥳
Hey all, I took the DP-700 today and passed! I will write a proper post with my experiences when I get home later today, but I’ll say it’s definitely a thorough test of your skills! Look forward to now switching to thinking about how best to teach the content to all of you! 🙌🏽
