This is exactly what I was looking for, my data flows (purely extracting from on prem) were taking up 95% of my f64 compute and regularly kicked me into throttling.

@Brian Szeto Thank you! Sorry for responding so late. This totally worked exactly how I would want it to.
What are you working on this week (preferably with Fabric)?
Happy Monday to all the Fabricators! I'm interested... what are you building this week? Any blockers that we can help with?

Hi, got the go ahead from leadership to start transition all of our on prem warehousing to fabric! So will be quite busy with that for a while. Let me know the best way to do this at large scale? I’m thinking splitting up each department in folders, using dataflow and notebooks for bronze tables. Then a notebook per table to transform to silver (have to find a way to do CI/CD)
Establishing end to end Setup?
Hi everyone, I’ve started to make efforts of moving from SSMS to Fabric. I built out one workspace in which I ingest all the data via dataflow in the bronze lakehouse for each department and have the notebooks writing over to the silver Lakehouse + SQL endpoint. Each department is separated by a folder in the workspace. I then grab the semantic model from the silver LH to go in a production workspace for each individual department. I’ve made all calculations for each report in the one specific semantic model so that I can control one refresh and avoid a lot of data being duplicated in the semantic model for some reports (efforts to reduce the capacity size of the workspace). From the department workspace (essentially gold layer) I push the reports to an app for customer subscriptions. I’m not sure this is the best way to go about this, please share any suggestions/best practices/ tips with me. I’d love your feedback on this!
