An observation - AI in major advertising
Today I was driving on the freeway and I saw this advertisement. I immediately recognized it as ChatGPT’s language. What do you think I noticed about this ad that made it so obviously written by ChatGPT? What are some common AI terms you’ve noticed in advertising?

I see this ugly font on a bottle. And all scriptures despite main are ugly nightmare)
Giving AI a role. Thoughts?
As a precursor to the next lesson, I’d like to see what everyone thinks about assigning a role to AI. For example: “You are a marketing expert in the fine jewelry industry.” A few weeks ago, I was watching a video by Anthropic on some of the best ways to write a prompt, and two of the developers couldn’t seem to agree on whether or not assigning a role was important. One was sure it helped. The other thought it made no difference. So I’m curious, have you tried assigning a role to AI? What has your experience been?

From my experience, giving a role definitely influences the style of the AI's communication and the set of terminology it uses. But I can't confirm that the answers become more accurate or thoughtful.
Happy Hump Day!
I hope everyone’s week is going well. I wanted to discuss a video with everyone. In this video, the creator is playing chess with ChatGPT, but it breaks all of the rules and even randomly spawns extra pieces. - First it places a pawn at A4, but there was already a pawn at A4 - Then it spawns a new pawn out of thin air to challenge another piece - After that, it moves the rook from the corner of the board to a spot diagonal to it, which is not a legal move Why do you think ChatGPT would do that? And how do you think you could prompt it so it doesn’t make so many incorrect and illegal moves? I’ll be releasing a video this week going over this phenomenon and how to avoid it.

ChatGTP has no restrictions and penalties for crossing borders. That is a result)
Happy Friday!
Good afternoon everyone, I hope your week has been great! I’ve been testing out my content creation schedule and it seems like I can realistically put out 1-2 lessons a week. I’m testing lesson release on tuesdays and maybe saturdays right now, but it’s probably going to be a little inconsistent at first while I adapt my schedule. Thank you to everyone who watched my first lesson and I hope you received value from it, even as just foundational AI knowledge. I’m so excited to see what the future brings for all of us! Anyone have plans for Labor Day?

My realistic throughput for watching lessons is also no more than two lessons per week, or even less. So everything is OK. Thank you for your work!
Are you struggling to get AI assistants to understand what you tell them?
Many people think that AI is intelligent enough to put the pieces together and understand what we mean when we are unclear, but it’s not. In fact, it’s much worse at it than people are. When you write to an AI, you should follow the same communication rules you were taught in school. Unlike people, AI cannot “read between the lines.” It only makes associations based on the exact words you type. The clearer and more complete your request is, the better your results will be. Rules to Follow 1. Be specific – Avoid vague words. Say exactly what you mean. 2. Give context – Explain the situation so the AI knows what you are asking about. 3. Use complete sentences – Write in full thoughts, not fragments. 4. Structure clearly – Break complex requests into steps or bullet points. 5. State your goal – Tell the AI what you want the final answer to look like (summary, list, essay, etc.). Example Vague Question (weak input): How do I make ads? Clear Question (strong input): I run a small candle shop in California. I want to create Facebook ads to attract customers who love woody nature scents. Can you write 3 short ad examples (under 30 words each) that sound professional but also friendly? Result: The vague question would return a generic explanation of advertising. The clear question would return actual ad copy that matches your business, your audience, and your needs. By being clear and concise with the AI, you can save time, avoid confusion, and get results that are much closer to what you actually want.

@Lorena Stanley Tambini , yes I've noticed that too. GPT5 is more unpredictable than previous versions. I have "GPTs" that completely stopped working after GPT5 update. It gives me completely nonsense instead of doing my predefined task, Nothing changed except model but quality dramatically decreased.
