C: At the initiation phase, understanding stakeholder needs and gathering expert judgment is crucial for defining scope, requirements, and project planning. If a key stakeholder is about to become unavailable for a month, the first and most proactive step the project manager should take is to: ➡️ Capture all necessary input, expectations, concerns, and decisions from the stakeholder before they leave.

you can use approximately date and month and year needs to be accurate only.
Why D is not the answer?
A project manager is leading a project that follows the company's predictive approach. The project manager discovers that the project is behind schedule and over budget because a key stakeholder has been submitting an unusually high number of change requests. What should the project manager do to help the company achieve its desired project outcomes? 1. A.Review the risk management plan to determine a mitigation plan. 2. B.Use the contingency reserve to implement a fast-track activity.  3. C.Review the change control process and implement improvements. 4. D.Escalate the problem with the stakeholder to the project sponsor.

C : In a predictive (waterfall) project environment, changes are expected to be strictly controlled through a formal change control process. If a key stakeholder is submitting an unusually high number of change requests, and it's causing schedule delays and cost overruns, this indicates a weakness or gap in the current change management process. The project manager's responsibility is to: - Ensure the process is being followed properly - Evaluate whether the process is too permissive or inefficient - Implement improvements so that only necessary and justified changes are considered. - D. Escalate to the sponsor: Escalation should be a last resort, and only after internal processes have been evaluated or improved.

n the early stages of team formation, a project manager is unable to focus on the main tasks because team members are constantly asking for help to resolve conflicts regarding the interpretation of the client's requirements. What should the project manager do? 1. A.Empower the team to resolve conflicts among themselves. 2. B.Spend time resolving these conflicts with the team. 3. C.Use the conflict resolution committee to help resolve these conflicts. 4. D.Escalate the conflicts to the program manager.

its a A. In the early stages of team formation, the team is typically in the "storming" phase of Tuckman’s stages of team development. During this phase, it's common for misunderstandings and conflicts to arise—especially about things like requirements interpretation. While it may be tempting for the project manager to step in and handle everything (as in option B), this would not help develop the team's ability to function independently or improve their conflict resolution skills. Instead, the project manager should focus on empowering the team, providing guidance and tools to facilitate collaboration and decision-making, which will help the team grow and transition to the next phase of development. - Option B (doing it yourself) is not sustainable. - Option C (conflict resolution committee) is excessive for this level of conflict. - Option D (escalating) should be reserved for severe or unresolved conflicts. Therefore, A is the best option for promoting team maturity and self-sufficiency. this is as per chatGPT.
Question on PMI education - 35 PDUs
As I prepare for applying for PMP exam I have a question about the 'PMI education' part. I had taken a training many years ago, probably 11 years ago but wasnt able to sit for the exam back then. Does that still count for the 35 PDUs required?
