Stillness How Do You Get It?
How you can practice stillness in your own journey and reclaim some inner peace? 1. Schedule a time. Practice stillness first thing in the morning. This is a great time to start the day off in the right way. I practice this. 2. Find a place. Somewhere you can go and shut the door. The main thing is to find a place where you won’t be interrupted. 3. Set a timer. Perhaps fifteen minutes a day. This is usually what seems about right. 4. Relax your body. Sit in a soft chair with your eyes closed. Then systematically relax your body and get quiet. Maybe play a recording of the ocean waves in the background. 5. Quiet your mind. Think of relaxing and peaceful thoughts. 6. Be present. Collect your thoughts and be present—in this moment. It is the most important time you have. In fact, it is the only time you have.
