Founder's Happiness Myth – tips on finding your anchor in uncertainty
What helps you find your centre when everything around you feels uncertain? How do you return to yourself in moments of losing your way? As founders, we often wait for certainty before we move forward. But the truth is, external uncertainty is constant and out of our control. The skill isn't eliminating uncertainty, it's finding your internal anchor so you can move forward anyway. Your anchor is yourself. Here are three practices that have helped me return to myself, even in the middle of change: 1. Pause and come back to your breath. When you feel overwhelmed, take three conscious breaths. It brings you back to the present moment and away from the swirl of uncertainty. 1. Connect to your body. Your body holds wisdom that your busy mind often overrides. Place a hand on your heart or feel your feet on the floor. This simple act of self-awareness helps you access your inner anchor. 3. Align with your values. When things move fast, decisions become difficult. Staying connected to a core value gives you a clear sense of direction, even when the path ahead is unclear. How do you return to yourself in moments of uncertainty? Let me know your anchor practice in the comments!

Thanks for sharing your insights Nassima! These are very pertinent as well and it's great that you found your own go-to-anchor!
A warm hello to all you amazing ladies
Hi everyone! I'm Zheng Keer Ami, a linguistics student from Hong Kong, and I'm thrilled to be joining the Female Founders Breakfast team as an intern here in Lisbon! I'm currently studying linguistics at City University of Hong Kong, and my career aspiration is to become a speech therapist, especially supporting children with special educational needs. I'll need to build something of my own one day. That's where FFB comes in! As an intern, I'm nervous yet excited to learn, contribute, and soak up as much as I can from all of you. I'm particularly enthusiastic to support the community, whether that's through events, content, or just helping behind the scenes. I'm really looking forward to connecting with you all, learning from your stories, sharing mine, and growing together in this supportive and inspiring space.

All of this for our blog and upcoming book (published at the end of 2026). No polished perfection. No corporate fluff.
