April Reach Out Challenge
How was the challenge for y'all, what did you learn? I sent 38 reach out emails/Instagram DMs (for those without email listed). 1 discovery call completed 1 scheduled for 5/5/24 1 email response for calendar invite but nothing followed since 3 automatic email survey responses. I got a late start to the challenge but was still able to be productive towards the end of the month. And I'm happy I didn't let procrastination get the best of me. I learned during this challenge, now it's time to adjust. What I learned: 1. I'm still laying down a solid foundation so don't bite off more than you can chew. I sent some emails to some bigger businesses to with I have yet to receive a response. But sending out helped me realize the last few essentials I need to accomplish. 2. My pace for life right now is probably about 2-3 reach out per week. Assuming I get responses from 2 if the 3 and setting up discovery calls/planning a strategy for the collaboration would be very busy for me. 3. Sending out this many messages also gave me an idea about what to expect during this stage as far as responses. This could change and go the total opposite sure but I now have somewhat of a gauge.

I haven't considered reading to stay inspired. That's definitely an intentional way to keep growing. Something usually happens or a lesson learned or a revelation and then I write it down to pay it forward.
Forward Vision/ The Vision Compass
Based of my core messaging, and a poem I wrote a couple of years ago I have wrote this ebook, "Forward Vision" , written with creatives like us in mind, and those who can't shake that ambitious itch to keep moving forward. First edit is done , and it's almost ready to be packaged up. Here's the original poem.... Forward Vision Clock hands ticking, relentless as my itching palms Vision chaser, constant caper, I'm on the run Sights set farther than these hundred acres Start small, apply pressure until it's done That's all I know, leaving trails of seeds to grow The blueprint in my mind, a constant show Build a tribe, watch it rise and blow Carve my slice, let it multiply on its own Hold dreams tight, never let them go Execute with precision, solid decisions in tow That clock hand ticking, fueling my itching soul Vision chaser scribing fevered lines on this paper scroll Vision spanning past these hundred acres' roles

7 Habits of Highly Effective People
1. Proactive - As creatives we have a responsibility to be actively searching within ourselves to therefore bring an outward display (poetry, art, music, leadership, kindness, etc) of the journey! This requires work from every angle: self, creativity, business, networking... That's why we are here in the Poetry Business Network. I encourage everyone to continue to send your reach out emails, ask questions, and be proactive...the network can't do it's job if we don't do ours #putinwork Don't be reactive and wait for something negative to push you. Be proactive and push yourself at all times... Create an atmosphere that you can excel in, don't let the atmosphere dictate your response!

Great encouragement
Thankful Thursday
Children in bed sleep before 8. Earlier I went out intentionally to an event to vet for opportunities I'm creating for myself! It's not always about money but I was led to connect with a person who can connect me to others so yaaay go me!!!
Thankful Thursday
