Introduce yourself!
Go on, be a devil.... tell us a little or a lot about yourself 😊, let's get to know you! Are you a novice/home user of complementary therapies or a therapist or currently a student? Rainbows, Jane

I've been studying aromatherapy off and on since the late 80s, early 90s. I got my certification through the West Coast School of aromatherapy way back in the early 2000s. I've taken a few courses through Jane and I'm not even sure where her and I originally met, I think it might have been on a professional development course through one of the online training groups, or possibly one of the essential oil safety groups that were circling FB when the unnamed mlms were bombarding social media with horrible recipes and even worse advice to unsuspecting consumers. Honestly, despite all my courses and professional upgrades, I still consider myself a newbie as there is a wealth of knowledge that I haven't even tapped into yet. I am a mid-50s gen xer and constantly striving to increase my knowledge base. My grandmother once told me that education was a lifelong ambition and to never stop learning. It was because of her and my great grandmother from Wales that I started to learn about herbs and their healing powers. From that of course, I've now learned about essential oils and their amazing abilities.
Hello everyone!
Hello everyone! Thank you for dropping in and please have a look around! It's still work in progress and I'm getting used to a new platform, please be patient with me! Advice and suggestions will be much appreciated, after all, this is your group too! This is just the beginning, a central space, away from sponsored adverts and irrelevant posts and reels you find on other social media platforms. My intention here is to educate both novices and therapists not just in essential oils, but in all things complementary therapies, there will be something for everyone. I want to build a tribe of like minded people who are willing to grow, learn and share a Natural Approach to your health and overall well being. In this group, you can read and interact with posts, and make posts yourself, ask questions, tell us about your experiences using complementary therapies, sign up to various courses (I'm still getting to grips with this feature!) and much more. There will be regular video get togethers, where we can chat, hold space and just 'shoot the breeze' with like minded tribal members! There will be informative handouts for you to download, and classes you can sign up to if something really piques your interest. To get to know me a little better, please have a little wander around my website: https://www.thenaturalapproach.biz/ Sunny Rainbows, Jane x

So happy to say goodbye to Facebook! Other than looking for posts from people like yourself or using Messenger, I rarely go on that dumpster fire of an app.
Good Morning Mavericks!!!
Well isn't this lovely, we are up to 35 members in 24 hours. 😊 Already, I for one, am feeling much more relaxed in this space. I know it's early days, but a 'tribe' of like minds is forming, and between us we have a wealth of knowlege! It's a teaching day for me today ( @Kathryn Lynnette Bales ) for a couple of hours, so I'm keeping my teaching brain on point and will be getting into the 'Classroom' tab and see how it works and what I can add in there for you all. Is there anything in particular you would like to learn? Comment below please. As you can see below the main tabs, there are smaller ones, so specific conversational topics and questions can be posted there. You can see I have added menopause and children so far. Is there a particular topic you would like to see with it's own 'area' for conversation? Please let me know. Segwaying nicely on the conversations, if you go to the members tab, you will find all the members. If there is somebody in particular you would like to connect with you will see the little conversation box next to their name. You can use that to have a PM with them, think Messenger on Facebook. So what are you chaps up to today? Rainbows Jane

@Jane Lawson its not too bad here in central Saskatchewan this year. Up until this week we were about 20 degrees above our historic norms. Snow hasn't even been much of an issue either. This time last year it was minus 50⁰C and 4ft of compact snow. Right now its minus 30⁰C (we dropped from 11⁰ above last week) and we have under a ft of compact snow. The weather stations are all saying we'll be back to zero or on the plus side again by my birthday. Let me tell you, this groundhog is saying please only 6 more weeks of winter! I would much prefer a March 15th kickoff to spring than March 20! 🙃

With all that is happening with our deranged neighbour to the South, I would love to see a chapter on relaxation/dealing with anxiety, or perhaps just a section on self-care.
A question for Reflexologists.....
This question was posed by a member in a Reflexology group over on 'that place that shall not be named'...... "Hi guys, I recently had some reflexology done to assist with my Eustachian tube issues, along with posture and stomach problems. Since the session my right index finger is completely numb. This was my first session, could there be any connection with the reflexology?" What would be your answer and why? Forget about the question he asked, think outside the box and what's the connection to his index finger being numb? I'll post my reply after some of you have had a go at it 😊 Rainbows Jane

Im not a reflexologist either, but body realignment and clearing pathways makes a lot of sense to me. My massage therapist (she's also my chiropractor and physiotherapist) will often focus on my hands to help release tensions in my neck and when I'm having digestive issues.
