🍂 September Theme: Fall Style Mastery 🍂
Gentlemen, Fall is here—and this is one of the best seasons for men’s style. You’ve got cooler weather, which means you can finally layer without sweating through your shirt. You’ve got rich textures like tweed, flannel, and corduroy that add depth to your outfits. And you’ve got boots—arguably the most masculine footwear a man can own. This month we’re focusing on one thing: mastering Fall style. Here’s where I want you to dial in: 1. Layering without bulk – Jackets, sweaters, shirts. Done right, you look sharp. Done wrong, you look sloppy. 2. The right pair of boots – Not sneakers, not loafers. Boots. They make a statement. 3. Seasonal colors & fabrics – Earth tones, heavier weaves, and clothes that look like they belong in Fall—not Summer leftovers. 4. Smart upgrades – A scarf, a better jacket, maybe just swapping out those worn-out shoes. Small changes, big impact. 👉 Your action: Share one Fall upgrade you’re making this month. It can be a piece of clothing, a style habit, or even just committing to putting more effort into your look. This theme is going to guide our discussions, tips, and challenges all September long. Let’s make sure when October rolls in, you’re not just “dressed for the weather”—you’re leading with style.

The #1 Mistake Most Men Make When Starting Their Style Journey (and how to avoid it
When I first started caring about my style, I made the same mistake many beginners do… I thought it was all about buying MORE clothes. But I soon realized it’s not about quantity, it’s about building a versatile foundation: A few neutral shirts that match with anything Well-fitting trousers/jeans (fit is everything!) Classic shoes that elevate any outfit Once I simplified my wardrobe, I felt more confident, saved money, and actually looked sharper. For those of you who are new here, don’t get overwhelmed. Start small, master the basics, and let your style grow from there. Engagement: What was the biggest mistake you made when you first started improving your style? Or, if you’re brand new, what’s your #1 question about getting started? Let’s help each other out

@Bernie Henesy I guess it all depends on you current wardrobe😊 I guess most people have some clothing that can be kept and matched with new trousers, jackets etc.
Looking to get a pair of fall/winter boots
Hi, I am struggling to find a a style of boots that fit my style. What is my style you may ask, well that is not entirely defined yet😜 though I lean towards a well put together refined casual look. I have recently bought some chinos in khaki, light beige and navy as well as classic warpstreme 5-pocket trousers from lululemon in obsidian and army green. I have a pair of white sneakers and some shoes from Nike, I really like the comfort from the Nike shoes and ease of use. And I really like the look of the sneakers though they are a bit more uncomfortable as my feet are not used to that type of shoe. As the title suggests I am now looking for a pair of boots that goes well with my pants without feel overdressed. Possibly brown leather. Any thoughts on what this may be, suggestions is very much appreciated. A pair of boots is an investment and would hate to”waste” money on a pair that does not feel right. I live in Norway so snow is to be expected. But I don’t need crazy warm shoes. Thanks

@James Armijo I believe a dark brown has a casual look to it and a good start as these will be my first proper boots. As they are my first I think I will limit myself to 200-300 US, the prices are similar to what we have in Norway😊 I will most definitely make sure they have the features you mentioned😊 thank you😃

Many thanks to everyone that has engaged in this thread😊 I just had to force myself to press the purchase button and went for the Thursday Chukka Scout in the color Mocha. I have never worn boots before and I guess the real test comes when they arrive in the mail to see if I am brave enough to wear them😜
