My message is this: Movement is the foundation of strength โ€” physical, emotional, and mental. You donโ€™t need to be perfect to get started. You donโ€™t need to fit the mold to be powerful. I speak to anyone whoโ€™s ever been told to shrink, to sit still, or to stay safe. This especially includes those living with disabilities or chronic conditions. Through my journey with Osteogenesis Imperfecta and decades of lived experience, Iโ€™ve discovered that real transformation doesnโ€™t come from pushing harder. It comes from learning how to move differently, think differently, and live without fear. My message is that we all deserve access to movement, motivation, and momentum. It should be available to everyone, regardless of body, background, or barriers. This isn't just about fitness. It's about freedom. That's The #UNBREAKABLE Way!
Your Best Gig
I'd love to hear about your best speaking gig and why it was your best one! Mine was speaking on a cruise ship. The activities director escorted me into the movie theater and when I looked at the audience there were about 2,500 people there! It was the largest audience I had spoken to at that point. I was so nervous I nearly panicked! But I focused on them and not me! I asked them who had been married more than 5 years, 10, 15 etc until I got to 35 years and one man's hand was still held up. I walked up to him and asked him what his secret was and he said, without missing a beat, "I'm deaf!" The audience broke out in a roar of laughter and set the stage for me! I relied on that memory many times after whenever I became nervous in front of an audience.

What a great story and experience! I would have to say my best gig was doing a virtual talk for Planet Fitness. Since I'm an adaptive fitness specialist, I was brought in to talk to their trainers and gym owners about inclusion and accessibility as it pertains to fitness for every body. They told me it was the largest registration they'd seen for a virtual presentation! And this one was fun because I went off a basic outline and did more storytelling. And the Q&A was eye-opening! I'm looking forward to doing more of these types of talks/presentations.
