Need Help to find industry & Traffic Sources for Beginners?
Hey everyone, I’m new to pay per call and currently building my website PlumbersInUSA.com. I wanted to ask 2 simple questions from experienced members here: 1. Which niche would you recommend for beginners right now? (Plumbing, HVAC, roofing, water damage, locksmith, etc.) 2. Which platforms are generating the most inbound calls currently? (Facebook Marketplace, Google Ads, SEO, Craigslist, Facebook groups, etc.) Would really appreciate your guidance. Thanks!

Honestly, I’d focus less on “best niche” and more on which niche you can actually service consistently with good response speed and lead handling. A lot of beginners chase high payouts but underestimate competition, answer rates, and operational complexity.

Call forwarding?
Hello! Newer to pay per call, had a quick ?. So I have call scaler where I buy phone #s for websites and typically forward them to a business owner , what i've done in "rank and rent" but for working with a pay per call affilliate network, can I simply forward the call to the assigned ringba # I got for the campaign? Or is there more to it, a step im missing ?

The forwarding itself is usually the easy part. The important layer is making sure the network sees the call path correctly for attribution and compliance. Especially with pay per call, routing structure can affect payout validation more than people expect.

Since the last week of April, I have been observing a noticeable decline in both the quantity and quality of incoming calls. This drop has significantly impacted overall conversions, which have decreased drastically during this period. A major concern is that a large proportion of these calls are being flagged as “red,” indicating serious issues in the connection process. In many cases, the calls are either not getting connected at all or are going unanswered by the home service providers specifically local numbers. This not only leads to missed business opportunities but also affects customer trust and satisfaction. Additionally, the decline in call performance appears to be largely influenced by Google’s latest update. This update seems to have affected both the volume and quality of incoming leads, resulting in reduced connectivity and engagement. I would also like to understand whether this issue is specific to my websites or if others are experiencing similar challenges. Has anyone else noticed a drop in call volume, quality, or conversions after the recent update? Any insights or shared experiences would be helpful?

I’ve seen a few people mention similar drops recently, especially with local/service-based traffic. But before blaming the Google update entirely, I’d also look at lead routing + answer rates because sometimes “lower quality leads” are actually delayed response/connectivity issues compounding after the update. If more calls are showing red, there may be an operational bottleneck mixed with traffic volatility.

MCA and business loan calls usually come from a few different models (live transfers, exclusive inbound, or aged data). Curious are you looking for direct live calls or just lead lists?
